July at Twin Hills

Good Morning and Happy 4th of July!!!

So far, the forecast for July is looking pretty good.  So you can play golf in the morning and then take a nice dip in the pool in the afternoon.  Call the Pro Shop for your tee time today!

We had a great Father’s Day here at the club.  Thank you to all of the father’s and their families for spending your day with us.  We hope you had a wonderful time.  Thank you also to our terrific staff.

The 48th annual Mid-Continent Oilmen’s Golf Tournament held here on June 17th through the 19th was once again very successful.  Thank you to our members for your patience, understanding and support of this event.  We appreciate each and every one of you!

We have really big plans for the 4th of July, so I hope you’re planning on spending the day with us.  We’ll start off with a breakfast buffet on the North Porch from 7:00am until 10:30am.  Then head outside where you can spend the afternoon relaxing at the pool.  The lifeguards have fun & games planned for the kids and Jason, our DJ, will be here to play all your favorite tunes while you sit back and enjoy the poolside beverage service.  A Burger/Dog buffet will be available in the Pool Pavilion from 11:00am until 3:00pm.  Our BBQ Buffet will begin at 5:30pm in the Clubhouse and will be available until 9:00pm.  The Grille will open at 7:15am and will remain open for food service until 5:00pm.  Beverage service in the Grille will be available all day.  An added special treat this year will be the talented Jamie Bramble outside from 7:30pm until 9:30pm.  Jamie will be here to entertain you while you wait for the awesome fireworks display which usually begins around 9:30pm or so.  Don’t forget blankets, lawn chairs and bug spray.  Reservations for the BBQ Buffet are requested please.  See you on the 4th!!!

Twin Ding, our annual member/guest golf tournament, is scheduled for Wednesday through Saturday, the 15th through the 18th of July.  As always, the golf course and clubhouse will be CLOSED to all members not participating in this tournament.  The Swimming Pool and Pavilion will remain open to all members during this event.  We will return to normal hours of operation on Sunday, the 19th of July.  Once again, we appreciate your participation and support of this member event.

Jerry Broughton, our course Superintendent, and his crew are continuing the process of maintaining the course for the summer golf season.  We thank you for your patience, understanding and support of his efforts to provide the best possible playing conditions for you and your guests.  We would like to ask all of our golf members to help our maintenance crews by repairing ball marks and a divot or two while you are on the course.  A little help goes a long way and they would greatly appreciate it.  Thanks again!
