November at Twin Hills

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Well it’s official, Halloween started the beginning of the holiday season. Looks like fall could be right around the corner, or since it’s Oklahoma, we could just pop right on into winter. Call the Pro Shop for your tee time and come out while you still can!

Our Children’s Halloween Party was combined with Sunday Brunch on October 25th and we had a great time. The food was really good and it wasn’t too cold outside for the kids to play in the moon bounce and ride the pony’s. Thank you to all of our members and their guests for participating. We appreciate you!

DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME ends on Sunday, November 1st. Don’t forget to set your clocks back one hour before you go to bed on Saturday night, October 31st or you’ll be really early for church.

Veterans Day is Wednesday, November 11th. If you know anyone who is a veteran or is currently serving our country, please take the time on this day to thank them and also take a moment to remember those who are no longer with us. It is these men and women who have made and are making the sacrifices necessary to help keep our country safe. Thank you so very much for your service.

Preparations for Thanksgiving have already begun and it will be here before you know it. If you don’t want to cook, we can do it for you. Thanksgiving orders “To-Go” forms have been mailed with your most recent statement and are also available at the front desk in the Clubhouse. The deadline to place an order to-go for Thanksgiving is Friday, November 20th. All orders to-go must be picked up no later than 12:00pm on Wednesday, November 25th. If you would rather skip all the mess, you can join us here at the club for a very special Thanksgiving Day brunch on Thursday, November 26th from 11:00am until 2:00pm and leave all the cooking and cleaning up to us. All you have to do is call and make a reservation. As this is always a very busy day here, please call early.

PLEASE NOTE: All facilities will close at 3:00pm on Thanksgiving Day. Also, the North Porch will be closed on Black Friday, November 27th, however, the Grille on the lower level of the Clubhouse will be open as usual.

Make plans now to join us on Sunday, December 6th from 11:00am until 2:00pm for our Children’s Christmas Brunch. Santa will be here to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and will have treat bags for all the good little girls and boys. The India Shrine Clowns will also be here. Don’t forget to bring your cameras and please also remember that a reservation is recommended and greatly appreciated.

Jerry Broughton, our course Superintendent, and his crew have already begun preparing the course for fall and winter. This includes top dressing and over seeding the fairways, tee boxes, collars and surrounds so you’ll have plenty of green grass to play on for the rest of this golf season and on into the spring. We thank you for your patience, understanding and support of his efforts to provide the best possible playing conditions for you and your guests. We are still asking all of our golf members to help out by repairing ball marks and a divot or two while you are on the course. A little help goes a long way and is greatly appreciated. Thanks again!
