Good Morning, Happy Mother’s Day and Happy Memorial Day!!
Talk about wacky weather! Is it really May? Whatever it is…it’s time for breakfast on the North Porch or in the Grille and to call the Pro Shop for a tee time. The grass is green and that means play golf. Call today!
Hopefully many of you had the opportunity to come walk through the Ladies Locker Room for the Grand Opening on April 6th. If you haven’t had a chance to see it yet, you’ll be really impressed with all the improvements when you do. Come take a look. It’s beautiful!
Our first Couples Twilight Golf and Dinner for the season was Thursday evening, April 25th. Congratulations to the winners, Mr. and Mrs. John Henry Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Brad Foster. The next Couples Twilight Golf and Dinner is scheduled for Thursday evening, May 23rd. Other golf events coming up in May include the Ladies Spring Guest Day, on May 15th and the Men’s Spring Round-Up on May 16th. For more information on these events or to sign up to play, call the Pro Shop at 427-3947.
We would like to invite all of our members to bring that special lady or ladies in your life out for a very special Mother’s Day Brunch on Sunday, May 12th. Brunch will be available from 11:00am until 2:00pm. Just like Easter, Mother’s Day is another very busy day here at the club. For that reason, a reservation is requested and always greatly appreciated. Call the clubhouse today to make yours!! Please note that the North Porch breakfast buffet (usually from 7:00am until 10:00am) will not be available on this day, however, breakfast is always available in the Grille.

A letter from our President, Mr. David Best, was mailed to the membership on Thursday, May 2nd regarding the progress of the renovation to the swimming pool and new facilities. We are very hopeful that the swimming pool and cabana’s will be ready to open on Memorial Day. Please bear with us as the progress continues. It will be well worth the wait!!
As we stated above, we are very hopeful that we will be able to open the swimming pool and cabana’s on Memorial Day (Monday, May 27th). Here’s what we are planning. We’ll begin with a breakfast buffet on the North Porch from 7:00am until 10:30am. We’ll have poolside beverage service from 12:00pm until 5:00pm with fun & games for the kids and a DJ from 1:00pm until 5:00pm. Please call the Clubhouse at 427-2431 on Monday to check on our progress prior to coming out. Also, please note that all facilities will be closed on Tuesday, May 28th.
Jerry Broughton, our course Superintendent, and his crew are continuing their efforts to prepare the course for the upcoming golf season despite the nasty weather. Their efforts and hard work will help ensure the best possible playing conditions. Thank you for your help and continued support.
