October at Twin Hills

Well it looks like the weather for the month is going to be pretty nice, so call the Pro Shop for your tee time and maybe even a lesson or two.  It’s never too late to learn new things!

We had a great Labor Day weekend here at the club.  The weather cooperated and every one had a really good time.  Thank you for coming out and spending the holiday with us.  See you at the pool next year!!!

Flu season is right around the corner, so mark your calendars now for Wednesday, October 7th.  Value Med Pharmacy will be here from 10:00am until 12:00pm in the card room across from the Shine Room on the lower level of the Clubhouse.  After your shot you’ll need some lunch, so join us in the Grille or on the North Porch.

Don’t forget National Boss’ Day is Friday, October 16th.  What a great day to bring your boss to the club for lunch.

While your here getting your Flu shot or having lunch for Boss’ day, you can make your reservation for our Halloween Brunch on Sunday, October 25th from 11:00am until 2:00pm.  Or call in your reservation anytime.  We’ll have a special buffet just for the kids, pony rides (from 11:00am until 1:00pm), face painting, paint-a-pony, a really cool moon bounce and treats.  Hope to see you there!

Upcoming golf events in October include Couples Twilight Golf & Dinner on Thursday, October 15th and the Johnnie Appleseed Fall Shamble on Saturday, October 17th.  For more information on these events, contact the Pro Shop at 427-3947.

Jerry Broughton, our course Superintendent, and his crew have already begun preparing the course for fall and winter.  This includes top dressing and over seeding the fairways, tee boxes, collars and surrounds so you’ll have plenty of green grass to play on for the rest of this golf season and on into the spring.  We thank you for your patience, understanding and support of his efforts to provide the best possible playing conditions for you and your guests.  We are still asking all of our golf members to help out by repairing ball marks and a divot or two while you are on the course.  A little help goes a long way and is greatly appreciated.  Thanks again!

Do you need to plan a party, lunch or dinner, wedding and/or reception, social event, business meeting or shower?  Have you thought about your holiday party yet?  We can help, just call Sherri Mann, Event Coordinator, for more information.

If you know of anyone interested in becoming a member, please contact Paul Hughes, our General Manager, for more information.

Have a great day!
