July at Twin Hills

So far, the forecast for July is looking pretty good.  That means you can play golf in the morning and take a nice dip in the pool in the afternoon.  Call the Pro Shop for a tee time or two!!

Have you heard the good news??  The Seafood Buffet is BACK!!!  That’s right, the ever popular Seafood Buffet on the North Porch every Friday evening returned the 6th of June.  So make a reservation and come enjoy the great food and the beautiful view.

We had a great Father’s Day here a the club.  Thank you to all of the father’s and their families for spending your day with us.  We hope you had a wonderful time.  Thank you also to our great staff.

The 47th annual Mid-Continent Oilmen’s Golf Tournament held here on June 18th through the 20th was once again very successful.  Thank you to our members for your patience, understanding and support of this event.  We appreciate each and every one of you!!

We have really big plans for the 4th of July, so I hope you’re planning on spending the day with us here at the club.  We’ll start off with a breakfast buffet on the North Porch from 7:00am until 10:30am.  Then head outside where you can spend the afternoon relaxing in and around the pool.  The lifeguards have fun & games planned for the kids and Jason, our DJ, will play all of your favorite tunes while you sit back and enjoy the poolside beverage service.   A Burger/Dog buffet will be available in the Snack Bar at the pool from 11:00am until 3:00pm.  Our BBQ buffet will begin at 5:30pm in the clubhouse and will be available until 9:00pm.  The Grille will open at 7:15am and will remain open all day.  Then just as soon as it is dark enough we’ll settle back and watch a spectacular fireworks display.  Don’t forget your blankets, lawn chairs and bug spray.  Reservations for the buffet can be made by calling the Clubhouse.

Twin Ding, our annual member/guest golf tournament, is scheduled for Wednesday through Saturday, the 16th through 19th of July.  If you are interested in playing and have not yet mailed in your entry, there is still plenty of time; just put on your game face and hustle on down to the Pro Shop or call them at 427-3947.  As always, the golf course and clubhouse will be CLOSED to all members not participating in this tournament.  The Swimming Pool will remain open to all members during this event with normal hours of operation returning on Sunday, the 20th of July.  Once again, we appreciate your participation and support of this member event.

Jerry Broughton, our course Superintendent, and his crew are continuing the process of maintaining the course for the summer golf season.  We would like to ask for your help while on the driving range.  If you could leave a space between your divots, it will fill in and heal faster than if you use the same spot over and over.  Also, it would be very helpful if you would replace your divots on the tees and fairways or repair them with the sand.  This will help in the healing process, as well as, the overall aesthetics of the course.  We thank you for your help and if at any time you have questions, Jerry will be happy to answer them for you or discuss any concerns you might have.  Thanks again.

Do you need to plan a party, special dinner, wedding and/or reception, social event, business meeting or shower?  Do you want to reserve a cabana at the pool?  Call Sherri Mann, Event Coordinator, for more information and/or to book a date.

If you know of anyone interested in becoming a member, please contact Paul Hughes, our General Manager, for more information.

Have a great day!
